His passions include volunteering, education and learning. He serves as volunteer Hospital Chaplain for Munroe Regional Medical Center as well as an on-call Chaplain for Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home. He holds two masters degrees with plans for a doctorate in the near future. He also formerly served as a Reserve Law Enforcement Officer with the Marion County Sheriff's Office. He loves "charity work and service."
Joe and his family moved to Ocala over 13 years ago and love our community. He has been married to his 'bride of 20 years, Heather Lynn' and they have 2 children, Josiah and Abby, and he loves spending time with his family.
He has a great love for animals and nature; enjoys running with his yellow Labrador, Zeke, and mountain retreats, also following in the footsteps of the Franciscan Tradition of Spirituality. His other interests include international travel and reading.
His goal is to be an outstanding, servant leader who "measures success in how much I give to others rather than wealth and assets".
At the present, he is concentrating on providing exceptional service in the residential market and goals of moving into farm and commercial real estate in the coming years.
